This Privacy Policy describes how Down to Earth Marketing LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Content Scribe Shopify application ("the App").

1. Information we collect

When you install and use Content Scribe, we collect the following information:

• Store data: We access your Shopify store's products, collections, pages, and blog posts to generate content suggestions. This data is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers beyond what is required to complete a request.
• Store credentials: We store your Shopify access token to authenticate API requests on your behalf. This token is stored securely and used solely to interact with your store.
• Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as features used and error logs to improve the App.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Content Scribe application
• Generate AI-powered content based on your store's products and catalog
• Publish content to your Shopify store on your behalf when you request it
• Improve the App's features and performance
• Respond to support requests

3. Third-party services

Content Scribe uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Your store data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate content. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
• Shopify: We interact with Shopify's Admin API to read and write store content. Shopify's privacy policy is available at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
• Render: The App is hosted on Render's cloud infrastructure. Render's privacy policy is available at render.com/privacy.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or store data with third parties except as described in this policy or as required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain your Shopify access token for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, your access token is deleted from our systems. Content generated by the App is saved directly to your Shopify store as drafts — we do not retain copies of generated content on our servers.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Access tokens are stored securely and transmitted over HTTPS.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at DTEAnalytics4@gmail.com. You may also uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin, which will revoke our access to your store.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
